About Trendy & New Pets

Trendy & New Pets is a small, independent site about useful products for cats and dogs. We look for things that solve a real problem (scratched sofas, dogs that can't jump into the car, cats bored indoors) and explain them plainly, including what the listing doesn't tell you.

How we research

We are honest about what we do and don't do. We have not bought or tested most of the products we feature. For every product we:

• read the full seller listing, size charts and spec images, and take sizes and limits from those, not from the product title;
• look for what's missing or contradicted (a "waterproof" claim with no rating, a size chart that disagrees with the photos, parts sold separately);
• label seller claims as claims, and put the most important catch next to the product;
• only feature products with strong recent sales and high seller ratings.

When we do get hands-on with a product, the guide says so and shows our own photos. Guides are updated when we find better information; each one shows the date it was last updated.

How we make money

Product links go to AliExpress through an affiliate programme: if you buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes what we say about a product's limits. See our affiliate disclosure.
